Objectives:
- Build awareness of Pact’s Leeds office launch through a targeted B2B PR campaign
- Communicate Pact’s Nations and Regions strategy to a wide range of industry stakeholders and media
Overview:
Pact is the trade association representing the commercial interests of UK independent television, film, digital, children’s and animation media companies.
On May 7th, 2019, the organisation welcomed stakeholders from across the national and local content production industry to launch its new out of London office in Leeds, situated in the city’s Round Foundry Media Centre.
To mark the official launch, Pact held an evening reception event with guests including Ian Katz, Director of Programmes at Channel 4; Tom Riordan, Chief Executive of Leeds City Council and scriptwriter-producer-director Kay Mellor. Representatives from local and national production companies and press were also in attendance.
Boom! PR was enlisted to propose a communications strategy to maximise awareness of the event with local, national and trade media – as well as key industry stakeholders.
The event came just months after UK broadcaster Channel 4 announced its decision to locate its new National Headquarters in the city.
— John McVay OBE, Chief Executive, Pact““It was important to us that the launch of our new office in Leeds not only was well received locally but also communicated a new strategy for Pact companies out of London.
Boom successfully delivered our objectives, professionally; on time, on budget and with a few laughs to boot””
